My name is Dali Valentina Verrico

 

I started  Valentina’s back in 2018 when I was 14 years old. I’ve always loved fashion even as a little girl. My mum used to buy my clothes when we were on holiday in Spain. And when I got older, I would trawl the shops and markets for unusual pieces. I would often change shop-bought items by adding trim, buttons, etc. I knew I wanted to eventually make my own clothes and have my own label.

 

My last year at school was cut short by the Pandemic. So, like so many other school leavers in 2020, I couldn’t sit my GCSE’s and consequently, the grades generated by the algorithms were not good enough to get me into fashion college. So, for my 16th birthday, my dad built me a studio in the garden to make clothes and Jewellery. Since then I’ve gone from strength to strength. I’ve sent my clothes as far afield as, Miami, Dallas Mykonos & Dominican Republic to name a few. So, I’m following my dream and loving the challenge!
